San Jose Sharks

The Sharks are coming off a 5-3 loss at the hands of the St. Louis Blues on Thursday. After starting the year 4-0, San Jose has struggling winning only two of their last six contests.

Goaltender James Reimer is set to make his fifth start of the season against the Devils. The 33-year-old netminder is 3-1-0 this year with a 1.54 GAA and a .950 save percentage in five appearances this season.

New Jersey Devils

The Devils have been struggling in California as they’ve only taken one point in their last two games. Last time out, the Devils were able to force overtime on a last-minute goal by Pavel Zacha but ultimately lost the game in overtime to the Los Angeles Kings.

Tonight, is a chance for the club to break even on the road trip. A win tonight means the club has gone NHL .500 in California which would save the trip from being a complete disaster.

Goaltender Jonathan Bernier is back in net after a stellar performance last night by Mackenzie Blackwood. Bernier has won three out four starts this season and will be in net for the second time on the road trip.

Player to Watch: Jesper Bratt

Jesper Bratt has been on fire the last couple of games. The 23-year-old forward has five points in his last four games including a pair last night against the Kings.

Expect more offense to come from Bratt tonight as the Devils look to jump on the scoresheet early against the Sharks.
