“We Wear the ‘S’” is a weekly column on your Seattle Kraken filled with updates and quick hits on the team, the players, and all the info that floats to the surface.

  • Regarding TV rights, in the past the NHL had Center Ice and NHL TV where you could stream all out of market games. With the ESPN deal, that is no longer the case. ESPN+ is the new service NHL fans have to subscribe to in order to catch all out of market games. As for the Kraken, Root Sports NW is the home for Kraken games (which are blacked out on ESPN+ if you live in the PNW). If fans in the Northwest don’t have a cable package, FuboTV and Root Sports NW have announced a partnership.
  • Ryan Donato, son of former NHLer and Olympian Ted Donato, has signed with Seattle. His deal is for league minimum. Donato was a second round pick of the Boston Bruins. On his way to Seattle, Donato has made stops in Minnesota and San Jose. He’s only amassed 180 NHL games and has shown he has a touch for finding the net and playing creatively. This signing will light some fires for sure!
  • Training camp for the Kraken opens on September 23rd at the Kraken Community Iceplex in Northgate. This will be the first official time players and coaches practice together. Kraken the Ice will be there on the 28th to shoot some photos and watch intently.
  • Kraken the Ice is now a podcast! Your home for all things ’32’ and beyond. The first epsiode, a trailer of sorts, is available now HERE. The podcast is currently being distributed which means you’ll be able to find it wherever you listen to podcasts.

Monkey Knife Fight is a Daily Fantasy Sports Gaming website for the casual sports fan that is simple, fun, and easy to play. Users determine which superstars, competing in the day’s professional sporting events, will record ‘More’ or ‘Less’ than the contest line provided. MKF’s daily fantasy prop games play similar to the salary-cap-based DFS games, but without the algorithms, lineups, and, most importantly, sharks.

There are several contests to choose from, none of which require hours of research required on competing sites. Start with a simple 2/2 or go for the highest payouts (100x or higher!) by selecting an 8/8 ‘More or Less’ contest.
